ISAAC DZIHLORNU AND GHANA IMMIGRATION SERVICE

CLOSURE REPORT INTRODUCTION On 8th November, 2016, Isaac Dzihlornu, the Complainant, lodged a complaint against Ghana Immigration Service, the Respondent, for stoppage of his salary. The Complainant therefore, seeks the assistance of the Commission to impress upon the Respondent to restore the payment of his salary. COMPLAINANT'S POSITION According to the Complainant, he alleged that the chronicle newspaper published a defamatory story about him with his picture at the front page of the newspaper on the 8th, 9th and 10th of October, 2014, immediately the publication came he was transferred from the Greater Accra Region to Kofibedukrom in Dormaa municipality of the Brong Ahafo Region. The Complainant through his lawyers took the matter to the High Court for the matter for defamation of character.
