JUDGMENT This ruling is in respect of an application filed by the Applicant herein on the 17th February, 2022 praying for the committal of the Respondents for contempt of court. The background facts leading to the contempt proceedings are fairly simple and admit of little controversy. The Applicants in this case instituted an action against the Respondents in this case and some other persons at the Judicial Committee of the Regional House of Chiefs for the reliefs that the re-nomination of the 4th Defendant the (2nd Respondent herein) is wrong and done in bad faith only to disentitle the 4th Plaintiff (the 4th Applicant herein) from being enstooled as a chief and for that reason the 2nd Respondent should be disqualified. Applicants further filed a motion for an order for interlocutory injunction on that very day, that is the 9/2/22 against the Defendants therein and Respondents herein to restrain them from enstooling the 2nd Respondent pending the final determination of the suit.
