BENJAMIN KOTEI vs. AVIANCE GHANA LIMITED
On Wednesday, 16th · November 2022 the parties appeared before the National Labour Commission in the above-mentioned dispute. Complainant was led by Financial & Business Services Employees Union (FBSEU) of GFL, the Union. Respondent was represented by the General Manager (HR) and led by counsel. Complainant's Case It is the case of the complainant that: 1. He was employed in 2002 and rose through the ranks to the position of Ram Supervisor and was also elected as the Chairman of the Senior Staff Union. 2. His job schedule includes having briefing sessions with staff, and through these meetings he clarifies any issue concerning the work when it is asked and when there is time to do so. 3. That during the COVID-19 outbreak at one of the briefing sessions a question was posed as to when workers' salary would be fully restored since they were on 50% salary. 4. He referred the worker to the Local Union Chairman since the said worker was a junior staff. 5.....
