FRANK BAFFOE vs. GOLDFIELDS GHANA LIMITED (DAMANG MINE)

On Wednesday, 16TH November 2022 the parties appeared before the National Labour Commission in the above-mentioned dispute. Respondent was represented by Counsel. Counsel for Respondent Counsel addressed the Commission on a legal objection raised by the Respondent that there has never been any employment relationship between Goldfields Ghana Limited and complainant and so complainant has brought the wrong respondent. Counsel further submitted that the employment relationship was between complainant and Abosso Goldfields Ltd. and not Goldfields Ghana Ltd. Complainant's Case The Complainant maintained that its employer was Goldfields Ghana Ltd arguing that his payslips, Collective Agreement and other documents clearly attest to the fact that Goldfields Ghana Limited was the employer.
