GHANA MINEWORKERS' UNION vs. SUNON ASOGLI POWER (GHANA) LIMITED

On Wednesday, 23rd November, 2022, the parties appeared before the National Labour Commission in the above-mentioned dispute. The Complainant Union was represented by the General Secretary; the Respondent was represented by the Human Resource Manager and led by Counsel. Complainant Union The Complainant reported that pursuant to the Commission's Directive of 7th September, 2022, the Union drafted the Settlement Agreement which was submitted to the Respondent for consideration and signature; however, the Respondent declined to sign the Agreement. Respondent Counsel for Respondent stated the Respondent cannot sign because it wants to have the list of its staff members who were members of the Union and without that they cannot proceed with any engagement.
