JUDGMENT SUURBAAREH, JA This is an appeal against the judgment of the High Court, Kumasi, dated 11th June, 2021, in which the Court granted all the reliefs sought by the Plaintiff/Respondent, whilst refusing the reliefs in the counterclaim of the Defendant/Appellant, and went on to grant the self-acquired property of Opanin Kwame Antwi Adjei to his extended family, the paternal family, after finding that his maternal family had become extinct. Dissatisfied with the judgment, the Defendant/Appellant initially filed a notice of appeal against same on the omnibus ground about the judgment being against the weight of the evidence, with a proviso for filing additional grounds upon the receipt of the record of appeal. The Defendant/Appellant subsequently sought leave on 22nd December, 2022 to file additional grounds of appeal, which additional grounds were filed on 30th June, 2022.
