JUDGMENT MENSAH-DATSA, JA. This is an appeal by the Defendant/Appellant (hereinafter referred to as Appellant) against the judgment of the High Court, Kumasi dated 25th March, 2019 in favour of both the Appellant herein and the Plaintiff/Respondent (hereinafter referred to as Respondent). The grounds of appeal are as follows: a) That the judgment is against the weight of evidence adduced. b) Additional grounds will be filed on receipt of the record of proceedings. No additional ground of appeal was filed. The relief sought is that the judgment of the lower Court be reversed. The Plaintiff/Respondent instituted this action against the Defendant/Appellant on the 7th October, 2015 for the following reliefs: i. The recovery of an amount of Fourteen Thousand, Five Hundred Pounds (£14,500.00) or its Cedis equivalent of Fifty Thousand Ghana Cedis (GH¢50,000.00) being monies paid to the Defendant by Plaintiff for Defendant to build a house for him. ii. Interest on the said amount.....
