CPL MORO MASAHUDU ALHASA (193846) AND GHANA ARMED FORCES

CLOSURE REPORT NATURE OF COMPLAINT: UNFAIR TREATMENT SUMMARY OF COMPLAINT: The Complainant, CPL Moro Masawudu Alhasan (193846), a former officer of the Ghana Armed Forces (GAF) petitioned the Commission alleging unfair treatment by the GAF. According to him, he was charged with insubordination towards a Seniour Officer. Based on the said accusation he was tried by six-member Disciplinary Board chaired by one LT Col Boglo. The Complainant claimed that during the trial, he opted for court martial but his request was unlawfully denied. He stated that on 18th June 2018, he was invited to appear before the six-member Disciplinary Board which he obliged. He was found guilty of the charges levelled against him and was reduced in his rank. This denied him the opportunity to till for extension, re-engagement and continuance of service certificate form which is done every five years. He subsequently had to retire at a younger age.
