1] PARTIES The Applicant, eight year old Kwadwo Asare, brings this application through his father and next friend, Frank Asare. The Respondent is the Association of Chartered and Certified Accountants (ACCA), a professional accountancy body with its headquarters in London, United Kingdom and a registered branch in Accra, Ghana. 2] FACTS OF THE CASE Applicants’ case 3] The applicant’s case is that in his desire to pursue a career in accountancy, he decided to take the Respondent’s foundations in Accountancy (ACCA foundation) course. His father therefore contacted the Respondent for the registration requirements and was reliably informed that there was no minimum age requirement.
