JUDGMENT Introduction The original writ in this suit was issued on 8th September 2020 by the plaintiff against the 1st defendant as the only defendant. The 1st defendant entered appearance and filed a defence to the action. On 14th October 2020, counsel for the 1st defendant brought an application seeking to join the 2nd defendant as a defendant to the action. The application was heard and granted on 5th November 2020. Counsel for the plaintiff then amended the writ of summons on 9th December 2020 to reflect the order for joinder. The defendants eventually filed a joint statement of defence on 4th November 2021. Plaintiff’s case It is the plaintiff’s case that he is the owner of the property in dispute having acquired the land on which the property is built sometime in 1976. He then constructed a five bedroom house with a two bedroom outhouse in the year 1977 on the land.
