RULING I have listened to the submission for the grant of the application for an arrest of an absconding Defendant. I have also through the documents filed in this application. The application is predicate on the Plaintiff/Applicant (hereinafter called the Applicant) Writ of Summons filed 30th October, 2023. The present application was filed on 3rd November, 2023. The Applicant pleaded in paragraph 5 of its statement of claim, that its internal auditors discovered, that the Defendant has misappropriated the sum of USD 650,000.00 being part of funds given to the Defendant for the Applicant’s gold trading activities and export from Ghana. The Applicant allegation of misappropriation of funds belonging to it by the Defendant is also stated in paragraph 9 of the affidavit in support of this application.
