JUDGMENT This is an appeal against the Judgment of the Circuit Court, Kpando dated 28 February, 2022. The Appellant was arraigned before the Circuit Court on one count of Defrauding by False Pretence contrary to section 131(1) of the Criminal and other Offences Act 1960 (Act 29). He was tried and convicted and sentenced to 4 years imprisonment with hard labour. It is against this conviction and sentence that the Appellant has appealed to this Court. The grounds of appeal found in the Notice of Appeal dated 4 March 2022 and filed on 9 March 2022 are as follows:- That the conviction and sentence of the Appellant on the charges was against weight of evidence adduced at the trial and on record This is a criminal appeal and the omnibus ground of appeal set out in ground 1 of Appellant’s notice of appeal is wrong.
