EMMANUEL FRANK ANSONG vs. UNITED STATES EMBASSY, ACCRA

A. SUMMARY OF FACTS. 1. Emmanuel Frank Ansong (the Complainant) says that he was in the employ of the United States Embassy, Accra (Respondent) for the past ten (10) years as a Commercial Specialist. On 11 February 2019 he received a letter terminating his employment without any specific charges being levelled against him and also his phone was seized by his employer and has not been returned to him for the past one year. 2. The Complainant stated that he was an exemplary worker and during his tenure with the employer, he received many international awards some of which he enumerated. The Complainant claims that he was subjected to ill treatment and in some instances torture by his superior officers. The Complainant suspects that his treatment was due to retaliatory attacks by offices at the Regional Security Office and the Embassy Management for acts done together with his former boss at the Respondent Embassy. 3.
