RULING BRIEF FACTS The facts in this complaint are without any controversy. The complainant was employed by the respondent on the 10th day of March 2014 as its Executive (Business Development Department) and was later promoted to the position of Senior Executive effective 1st June 2020. His employment was terminated on the 10th July 2021 due to a restructuring exercise carried out by the respondent. Following the termination, the complainant lodged a complaint with the Commission on 19th November, 2021 against the Respondent for unfair termination and prayed for the following reliefs: A. Payment of appropriate severance for the said restructuring B. Compensation for unfair termination CASE OF THE RESPONDENT The respondent on the other hand refuted the allegations of the complainant and asserted that the complainant was paid his entitlements due him after the termination.
