RULING Brief facts of the case On 25th March, 2021, Bright Kwame Korkoryie, Complainant filed a complaint of "Unfair Labour Practice" against Korie Bu Teaching Hospital, Respondent. The Commission referred the complaint to the Respondent for its response per letter dated 19th May, 2021. Per letter dated 20th, May, 2021, the Respondent responded to the complaint that "The Labour Commission does not have any jurisdiction to intervene in the matter of "administrative sanctions" imposed on an employee by an employer." On 24th August, 2022, the Commission responded to the Counsel for Respondent's letter on the matter of "Jurisdiction" stating that it is of the view that the issue borders on employee-employer relationship and so it has Jurisdiction. Pursuant to section 175, 138(1) (c) and 139 (1) (a) (i) (ii) respectively.
