RULING Brief facts of the case On 13th March, 2020, Lydia Duvor, Complainant, filed a complaint of unfair Labour Practice against National Vocational Training Institute, the Respondent. The Commission referred the complaint to the Respondent for its response per letter dated 23rd April, 2020. Per letter dated 21st May, 2020, the Respondent responded to the complaint listing series of events/happenings in the matter and concluded that 'The Complainant is therefore not entitled to the amount of GHC 228, 985.50." The matter was heard at facilitation but facilitation failed. Per letter dated 5th March, 2021, the matter was referred to mediation and the Complainant responded accordingly but the Respondent wrote that it was not in a position to spend financially on mediation and opted for the Commission to settle matter.
