RULING Brief facts of the case On 21st May, 2018, Michael Amegashitsi, Complainant filed a complaint at the National Labour Commission against Champion Oil Company Limited, over Unfair Termination. The Commission referred the complaint to the Respondent for its response in a letter dated 28th May, 2018. The Respondent per letter dated 19th June, 2018 responded to the complaint filed listing series of events/happenings in the matter and concluded thus "That the termination of the Complainant's employment was a right exercised under the Laws of Ghana and for that matter same is lawful." The matter was heard and deadlocked at Facilitation. The Commission wrote to parties for their consent to Mediation per a letter dated 7th November, 2018 and a reminder was issued on the 14th March, 2019.
