RULING A. SUMMARY OF FACTS This action was commenced when a petition was filed at the National Labour Commission on 17th May, 2019 by Mr. Azure John Apleisooba. The Commission heard the dispute pursuant to Reg. 33 of National Labour Commission Regulations, 2006 L.I. 1822. Complainant's Case: It is the case of the Complainant that: 1. He was employed on 25th June, 2004 as a Security Guard. 2. He applied for leave in order to visit his sick mother in the Upper East Region but it was not granted. 3. He went away for six days and returned to continue his work but he was told that he has been dismissed. 4. He therefore reported to the Human Resource Manager by name Nana Danquah who asked him to submit his resignation letter together with all the company items in his possession. 5.
