RULING This is a case of unfair termination put before the Commission. 1.1 COMPLAINANT'S CASE The Complainant's case is that he was employed as the Human Resource Manager by the Respondent on 4th May 2015. 1.2 Whilst he was in the employment of the Respondent, the Complainant fell ill and he requested to be given some days off to receive medical treatment. 1.3 The Respondent obliged and granted him some days off to treat himself. 1.4 The Complainant suffered stroke which affected his speech. The Complainant was sent to the Respondent's designated hospitals. He was given a long period off between six and eight months. In the meantime, he was reassigned as the General Services Coordinator since his position as HR Manager was given to another person. 1.5 After the long break he resumed work once more on 15th January 2018, however the Respondent terminated his appointment on 20th April 2019.
