REYNOLDS JAMES KOFI ABU vs. GHANA POST COMPANY LTD.
RULING Introduction: This case of unfair treatment was filed at the Commission by the Complainant, Reynolds James Kofi Abu against the Respondent, Ghana Post Company Ltd. on 12th June, 2019. The matter went through facilitation but parties took entrenched positions at that stage so there was a deadlock. The matter was, therefore, put before the Commission for summary hearing. Complainant's case: It is the case of the complainant that: 1. He was appointed as Head of Transport in the Respondent Company on 2nd June, 2008. 2. He has served the respondent with zeal, passion, discipline, humbleness and sincerity. 3. He adopted cost saving strategies which resulted in major transport expenditure reduction to the barest minimum. 4. In spite of this he worked for almost ten (10) years without being given the Chief Manager's status and did not enjoy any acting allowance.
