BILLY JANE AND STYLE BILLY JANE ENTERPRISE vs. GOSSIP BEACH LTD

The appellant leased two hospitality properties at La Pleasure Beach Resort and Nungua to the respondent under alleged lease agreements dated 22nd February 2012. The respondent was to renovate and pay monthly rent. Later, a partnership/joint venture agreement dated 1st September 2013 was executed, purportedly novating the lease at La into a 25-year profit-sharing arrangement. Disputes arose over rent arrears, breach of agreements, and conversion of property. The respondent claimed wrongful exclusion from management and sought damages and recovery of investment.
