The Applicant filed a suit against the Respondent, Dr. Nana Ayew Afriyie, seeking declarations of title, injunctions, and damages related to a disputed parcel of land at Tesano, Accra. After filing an interlocutory injunction to restrain the Respondent from further construction on the land, the Respondent allegedly continued building, completing the second and third floors despite court warnings. read moreRULING THE APPLICATION (1) This ruling is in respect of a Motion on Notice for Contempt of Court Order filed by the Applicant against the Respondent herein. The application is supported by a 19-paragraph Affidavit dated 26th September, 2024. (2) It is the case of the Applicant that within six (6) weeks after commencing the instant action, filing an application for an Interlocutory Injunction Order, and serving same on the Respondent, Respondent out of disrespect for the court has continued building on the land in contention and has completed the second and third floors of the story building. (3) The Applicant contends that Respondent is presently doing fittings inside the ground and second floor despite several warnings issued by the Court from the onset of the injunction application.
