AKOSUA SERWAAH FOSUH vs. ABUSUA – PANIN KOFI OWUSU & 2 ORS.
The Plaintiff, Akosua Serwaah Fosuh, claimed to be the only surviving spouse of the late Charles Kwadwo Fosuh aka Daddy Lumba, asserting a civil marriage in Germany in 2004 and customary marriage in Ghana in 1991. She sought exclusive rights to perform widowhood rites and restrain the Defendants from recognizing the 2nd Defendant, Priscilla Ofori, as a spouse. The Defendants denied the validity of the Plaintiff's German marriage, asserting that the 2nd Defendant was customarily married to the deceased in 2010, bore six children, and cared for him during his illness.
