RULING This is a case of unfair termination. 1.0 COMPLAINANT'S CASE The Complainant submitted that he was employed as light duty driver by the Respondent on 30th January 2013. He stayed in his employment until 30th August 2017 when his appointment was terminated. The reason for his termination was gross insubordination. 1.1 On 24th August 2017, he was directed by his manager to send her children to a school programme and wait till they were done with the programme. At some point while waiting, he got hungry so he left the school to get some food to eat. 1.2 When he was returning to the school, he realized that the handbrake of the car had become faulty and so he attempted fixing it himself since after several complaints to management about the problem, it has still not been fixed.
