The Petitioner averred that about fourteen years ago, she introduced into Ghana a club for children called A.W.A.N.A. a name derived from 2 Timothy 2:15, after having struck an acquaintance with some American Missionaries. While living in Liberia. The club which seeks to heighten children's Christian awareness and groom them into responsible adult citizens" was established in Ghana through the Petitioner's instrumentality. The first leader was one Pastor Noah Quarshie. According to the Petitioner one Pastor Robert Nyarkotey currently AWANA missionary had taken over the activities of the Club thereby depriving her of playing any important role therein. A recent attempt at rewarding her by Respondents' Board following the trickery of the said Missionary, was in her view insulting. She prayed for a thorough investigation into the activities of AWANA Ghana and its Board. She prayed that the Respondent be compelled to restore her in her rightful position as National Executive Officer and to be trained as a Missionary for the Club in the United States of America. Alternatively, she prayed for damages to the tune of $45,000, i.e. $300 per month for fourteen(14) years "dedicated pioneering work".

<span style="font-size: 12pt; line-height: 115%; font-family: "Book Antiqua", serif;">The Respondent wrote in response stating that, that the Petitioner introduced the Directors of AWANA into Chana in 1982 is common knowledge & AWANA circles but chat she introduced the Ministry into Ghana as untrue sine the Petitioner: knew nothing of the operations of AWANA at the time. In 1990, the work of AWANA Was handed over to Rev. Nyarkotey a missionary appointed by the Internal. Headquarters in the U.S.A. At no time, Respondent averred, was the petitioner promised a position in any form in AWANA. The Board was compelled to honour her in December 1995 after she approached its Chairman with a desire to be part of AWANA".

<span style="font-size: 12pt; line-height: 115%; font-family: "Book Antiqua", serif;">Before then, she only maintained "occasional involvement in the work".
