Wuabu complained against the failure by the Respondent Bank, to furnish him with particulars of his unclaimed salaries transferred to the Bank of Ghana by them.<o:p></o:p></span></p><p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom:5.0pt;text-align:justify;mso-pagination: none;border:none;mso-padding-alt:31.0pt 31.0pt 31.0pt 31.0pt;mso-border-shadow: yes"><span style="font-size:12.0pt;line-height:115%;font-family:"Book Antiqua","serif"; mso-fareast-font-family:"Book Antiqua";mso-bidi-font-family:"Book Antiqua"">According to the complainant he was stationed at the Amanokrom Presby Primary School as a teacher until his transfer to the TumuChinchang Catholic Primary School in the Upper West Region. He adds that even though he had been at post between 1st September, 1998 to 1999 he had not received his salaries. Subsequently he was transferred back to Amanokrom in the Eastern Region.<o:p></o:p></span></p><p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom:5.0pt;text-align:justify;mso-pagination: none;border:none;mso-padding-alt:31.0pt 31.0pt 31.0pt 31.0pt;mso-border-shadow: yes"><span style="font-size:12.0pt;line-height:115%;font-family:"Book Antiqua","serif"; mso-fareast-font-family:"Book Antiqua";mso-bidi-font-family:"Book Antiqua"">The complainant says that in October, 1999, it was detected that he had a duplication of salary and was accordingly asked by the Manpower Division to proceed to his former station to have the money tranferred to Government Account and a statement of transfer given him.<o:p></o:p></span></p><p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom:5.0pt;text-align:justify;mso-pagination: none;border:none;mso-padding-alt:31.0pt 31.0pt 31.0pt 31.0pt;mso-border-shadow: yes"><span style="font-size:12.0pt;line-height:115%;font-family:"Book Antiqua","serif"; mso-fareast-font-family:"Book Antiqua";mso-bidi-font-family:"Book Antiqua"">It was therefore the complainant's case that he needed the particulars of the transfer of his salaries from the Respondents, Ghana Commercial Bank to furnish same to the Controller and Accountant General's Department who were insisting on being provided with that information.<o:p></o:p></span></p><p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom:5.0pt;text-align:justify;mso-pagination: none;border:none;mso-padding-alt:31.0pt 31.0pt 31.0pt 31.0pt;mso-border-shadow: yes"><span style="font-size:12.0pt;line-height:115%;font-family:"Book Antiqua","serif"; mso-fareast-font-family:"Book Antiqua";mso-bidi-font-family:"Book Antiqua"">In their Response to the petition dated 12th April, 2000, the Ghana Commercial Bank stated that their Tumu branch transferred the unclaimed salaries of the complainant totaling $1,612,684.00 to the Controller and Accountant-General Main Account No.40 with Bank of Ghana through their High Street on 5th November, 1999. They accordingly furnished particulars of the transfer which was relayed to the complainant for his reaction.<o:p></o:p></span></p><p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom:5.0pt;text-align:justify;mso-pagination: none;border:none;mso-padding-alt:31.0pt 31.0pt 31.0pt 31.0pt;mso-border-shadow: yes"><span style="font-size:12.0pt;line-height:115%;font-family:"Book Antiqua","serif"; mso-fareast-font-family:"Book Antiqua";mso-bidi-font-family:"Book Antiqua"">In his reaction filed on 6th June, 2000 the complainant confirmed the Respondent's statements and expressed his satisfaction with the state of affairs.<o:p></o:p></span></p><p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom:5.0pt;text-align:justify;text-indent: .7pt;mso-pagination:none;border:none;mso-padding-alt:31.0pt 31.0pt 31.0pt 31.0pt; mso-border-shadow:yes"><span style="font-size:12.0pt;line-height:115%; font-family:"Book Antiqua","serif";mso-fareast-font-family:"Book Antiqua"; mso-bidi-font-family:"Book Antiqua"">In the circumstances the Commission considers the matter as conclusively resolved.
