The respondent (henceforth referred to as the Plaintiff) was until the 2<sup>nd</sup> day of August, 2000 the Port Electrical Engineer of the Appellant (henceforth also referred to as the Defendant), Ghana Ports and Harbour Authority. The High Court held that the Plaintiff’s employment was wrongfully terminated because it was not in conformity with the terms and provisions of the contract of service between the Plaintiff and the Defendants (i.e. Exhibits “C”) and awarded him damages (against the Defendant) for wrongful termination.
