E. Bondzi-Simpson petitioned the National Labour Commission on behalf of his client John Asabil an employee of the Respondent Forestry Commission.<o:p></o:p><o:p>&nbsp;</o:p>&nbsp; The ground for the petition was that a routine inspection team of the Commission conducted inspection of the work of the petitioner and made the following allegations against him.<o:p></o:p><o:p>&nbsp;</o:p>1.Issuing Log Measurement and Conveyance Certificates (LMCCs) and fraudulently quoting Tree Information Numbers (TIFs) allocated to the Takoradi District on the LMCCS.<o:p></o:p><o:p>&nbsp;</o:p>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 2.Fraudulently issuing LMCCs with species and stock numbers which were not indicated on their corresponding TIFs.<o:p></o:p><o:p>&nbsp;</o:p>3. Disregarding laid down procedures and signing blank LMCCs for a Range Supervisor to enable him convey illegal logs.<o:p></o:p><o:p>&nbsp;</o:p>He was queried and interdicted and subsequently summarily dismissed.<o:p></o:p>&nbsp;<o:p></o:p>The Reliefs being Sought are as follows:<o:p></o:p><o:p>&nbsp;</o:p>1. Reinstatement effective the date of his purported dismissal, i.e. 28th March, 2007.<o:p></o:p>&nbsp;<o:p></o:p>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 2.Payment of the full amount of his remuneration, comprising salary, allowances and other benefits due him by virtue of the post he occupied as well as end-of-service award/redeployment benefits in respect of Forestry Department before it was made the Forestry Services Division of the Forest Commission.<o:p></o:p>&nbsp;<o:p></o:p>
