As a result of the accident which occurred on 8<sup>th</sup> August, 2006 at Kotwi on the Kumasi – Obuasi motor road the she sustained various degrees of injuries and asserts she can no longer engage in her trading activities. On the 16<sup>th</sup> of February, 2010, this court entered interlocutory judgment for the plaintiff.<o:p></o:p></span></p><p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom:0cm;margin-bottom:.0001pt;text-align: justify"><span lang="EN-US" style="font-size:12.0pt;line-height:115%;font-family: "Book Antiqua",serif"><o:p> </o:p></span></p><p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom:0cm;margin-bottom:.0001pt;text-align: justify"><span lang="EN-US" style="font-size:12.0pt;line-height:115%;font-family: "Book Antiqua",serif">According to her pleadings, the plaintiff asserted that the accident was caused as a result of the negligence of the second defendant in the course of performing his duty as a lawful employee of the first defendant. She also asserted that the vehicle was not properly maintained by the defendants, and just before the accident, it was driven at an excessive speed by the second defendant who failed to exercise due care and attention to protect the lives of the passengers, including the plaintiff.<o:p></o:p></span></p><p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom:0cm;margin-bottom:.0001pt;text-align: justify"><span lang="EN-US" style="font-size:12.0pt;line-height:115%;font-family: "Book Antiqua",serif"><o:p> </o:p></span></p><p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom:0cm;margin-bottom:.0001pt;text-align: justify"><span lang="EN-US" style="font-size:12.0pt;line-height:115%;font-family: "Book Antiqua",serif">It is her case that she was hospitalized for a number of days at Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital because of the severe injuries she sustained as a consequence of the accident. She further claimed that she is unable to carry on her trading activities, thus losing a monthly income of between GH¢300.00 and GH¢ 400.00. She tendered exhibit ‘B’, which is the final medical report on her, issued by Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital. Exhibit ‘B’ indicates that she suffered a <b><i>“soft tissue avulsion injuries of the fronto – temporal regions of the head and the right fore-arm”.</i></b> The exhibit further explained that the wounds had healed but they left visible scaring looks o
