There were a lot of claims which led to the formation of the Land Tribunal chaired by Justice Abban in 1976. The decision of the Tribunal triggered an appeal to the Court of Appeal by the Nuumo Nmashie family. The Court of Appeal then appointed Surveyor Lassey to prepare and submit a plan to assist the Court in arriving at a decision as to who owns the villages contiguous to the Adjancote Hills.<o:p></o:p></span></p><p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom:0cm;margin-bottom:.0001pt;text-align: justify;line-height:normal"><span lang="EN-US" style="font-size:12.0pt; font-family:"Book Antiqua",serif;mso-fareast-font-family:"Book Antiqua"; mso-bidi-font-family:"Book Antiqua""> </span></p><p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom:0cm;margin-bottom:.0001pt;text-align: justify;line-height:normal"><span lang="EN-US" style="font-size:12.0pt; font-family:"Book Antiqua",serif;mso-fareast-font-family:"Book Antiqua"; mso-bidi-font-family:"Book Antiqua"">The 3rd defendant family argued that the plaintiffs are seeking <b><i>“a second bite at the cherry and this Court should not entertain this false claim”</i></b> see page 6 of address filed on 3rd November, 2010.
