International Water and Electricity Corp. (CWE), lodged a complaint of
dismissal against his former employer. He alleged that .........he was dismissed on a May, 2010, with the charge that he failed to turn
back on the Aburi – Nsawam road to Adenta. He said he refused the instruction
because he was descending a hill. The officer he was traveling with then
switched off the ignition key and the steer locked. The officer called another
driver from the head office, who came to take the truck back to Adenta.
<o:p></o:p>He is, therefore,
seeking the following reliefs: <o:p></o:p><p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-top:10.3pt;margin-right:0cm;margin-bottom:

yes">4. Damages <o:p></o:p>The employer, on the
other hand, stated that Mr. Bernard Nketia, refuse to
take lawful instructions from Mr. Zhang Xiong on
5 May, 2010, when they were driving from Adenta to
Asuboi. He was asked to drive back to Adenta when they
reached the town of Adonten but he refused. Another driver was, therefore, called from Adenta to
drive the vehicle back. He was summarily dismissed on 9 May, 2010. This was done in conformity with the Collective
Agreement with the Union. <o:p></o:p>
