</div>Facts of the complaint <o:p></o:p>Mr. Gyau-Boadi, the complainant, lodged a complaint with the National Labour
Commission against his former employer, Jayee University College, on 6" September, 2010, for terminating
his appointment. He stated that he was employed as a lecturer with the
Institution when it was called Jayee Institute, on 15 May, 2007. When the Institution was given an accreditation
by the Accreditation Board and turned into Jayee University College, he was given a fresh appointment letter on 9th
September, 2009, as a lecturer. <o:p></o:p>He was placed on a six
(6) months probationary period after which he would qualify for a six (6) months notice for termination on
either side. He was terminated on 1st July, 2010, with only one month notice,
on 1 June, 2010. <o:p></o:p>He is, therefore,
