On 5/1/99, the wife/petitioner filed for an order of the court to have the marriage dissolved on the ground that it had broken down beyond reconciliation. There are seven issues to the marriage and with the exception of the last born, the others were in school as follows: two were in Senior Secondary School, now Senior High School; two in Junior High School, one each in Primary and Nursery. According to the petition, the petitioner asserted she was a promising trader in second-hand clothing before the marriage, whilst the respondent was described as a “small time shoemaker”.
