yes">Introduction On 22nd November, 2012, Mr. Issah
Musah Khaleepha (hereinafter referred to as Complainant)
lodged a complaint of unfair termination of his appointment against the Ghana
Private Road Transport Union, GPRTU, (hereinafter referred to as Respondent) at
the National Labour Commission (NLC). <o:p></o:p><p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-top:9.8pt;margin-right:.2pt;margin-bottom:
0cm;margin-left:0cm;margin-bottom:.0001pt;text-align:justify;mso-pagination:
none;border:none;mso-padding-alt:31.0pt 31.0pt 31.0pt 31.0pt;mso-border-shadow:
yes">By letter dated 26th November, 2012
the NLC sent the petition to Respondent for its comment within fourteen
days. No response was received from the respondent. By another letter dated
28th January, 2013, the NLC sent a final reminder to Respondent on the matter.
By a letter dated 11th March, 2013, the Ashanti Regional Secretariat of
Respondent sent its response to the NLC. <o:p></o:p><p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-top:10.3pt;margin-right:.2pt;margin-bottom:
0cm;margin-left:0cm;margin-bottom:.0001pt;text-align:justify;mso-pagination:

yes">The parties were subsequently invited to
the NLC for a hearing on 8th April 2013. Both parties appeared late and the
