mso-bidi-font-family:"Courier New"">The record shows that the defendants entered appearance to the plaintiff’s suit on 29<sup>th</sup> July, 2016 but they never filed any statement of defence. The plaintiff subsequently applied for judgment in default of defence and this Court, per my sister Laurenda Owusu J., ordered that the matter be set down for trial, after taking into consideration the claims or reliefs endorsed on the plaintiff’s statement of claim and writ of summons. This judgment is thus in respect of the evidence adduced by the plaintiff and his witness (PW1).<o:p></o:p></span></p><p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-left:18.0pt;text-align:justify;line-height: 115%"><span style="font-size:12.0pt;line-height:115%;font-family:"Book Antiqua",serif; mso-bidi-font-family:"Courier New"">The record shows that the defendant’s counsel was served with the witness statements of both plaintiff and his witness but the defendants never reacted to same and neither did they appear in Court for the trial.<o:p></o:p></span></p><p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-left:18.0pt;text-align:justify;line-height: 115%"><span style="font-size:12.0pt;line-height:115%;font-family:"Book Antiqua",serif; mso-bidi-font-family:"Courier New"">The issue for determination in this judgment is whether or not the plaintiff is entitled to the reliefs endorsed on his writ and statement of claim and before the Court makes a determination in this regard, it is prudent at this juncture to set out the case of the plaintiff.<o:p></o:p></span></p><p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-left:18.0pt;text-align:justify;line-height: 115%"><span style="font-size:12.0pt;line-height:115%;font-family:"Book Antiqua",serif; mso-bidi-font-family:"Courier New"">The plaintiff claims that he bought the piece of land described on the writ and statement of claim from one Nii Sowa Odoi who is described as the head and lawful representative of Nii Odoi Kwao family of Abehenease near Amasaman, Accra and that the purchase was evidenced by a lease dated 27<sup>th</sup> May, 2004 stamped as LVD17781c/2011 which he submitted to the Land Title Registry Accra for registration as lodgment no. 09216/2011 as far back as the year 2011.<o:p></o:p></span></p><p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-left:18.0pt;text-align:justify;line-height: 115%"><span style="font-size:12.0pt;line-height:115%;font-family:"Book Antiqua",serif; mso-bidi-font-family:"Courier New"">The plaintiff claims he went into possession of the said land immediately upon its acquisition and commenced the building of a two bedroom house on the la
