Kpetoe or fully, Agortime-Kpetoe, is a relatively small town, and is the political capital of the Adaklu-Anyigbe District in the Volta Region. The town houses the famous Customs, Excise and Preventive Service (CEPS) training academy of the Ghana Revenue Authority (GRA). In the town also is the well-known Agotime Secondary School. A popular annual Kente festival is also held. In fact, it competes and rivals Bonwire in the production of the world famous Kente cloth; one of the few distinguished gifts of Ghana to the world. The event shook the foundations of the otherwise quiet and peaceful town. Men turned into women. I surmise that the community; especially those directly impacted by what occurred, are yet to recover fully from the shock and trauma that they were subjected to.

<span lang="EN-GB" style="font-size:12.0pt;line-height:150%;font-family: "Book Antiqua",serif;mso-bidi-font-family:"Times New Roman"">

<span lang="EN-GB" style="font-size:12.0pt;line-height:150%;font-family:"Book Antiqua",serif; mso-fareast-font-family:"Book Antiqua";mso-bidi-font-family:"Book Antiqua"">2.<span style="font-variant-numeric: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-stretch: normal; font-size: 7pt; line-height: normal; font-family: "Times New Roman";"> <span lang="EN-GB" style="font-size:12.0pt; line-height:150%;font-family:"Book Antiqua",serif;mso-bidi-font-family:"Times New Roman"">Etey Jabez Foli, is one of the notable residents of Kpetoe. Around the entrance to the home of Jabez Foli, criminals armed with machetes accosted him and Bennet Adziri.

<span lang="EN-GB" style="font-size:12.0pt;line-height:150%;font-family: "Book Antiqua",serif;mso-bidi-font-family:"Times New Roman"">The criminals ordered them to surrender their bag which contained cash and other telecommunication materials. When Jabez Foli resisted, he was slashed on the left arm and at the back with a machete by the criminals. The physical violence, coupled with the threat of further violence, enabled the criminals to snatch the bag with cash and valuables from Jabez Foli. They bolted with it. Years of planning, toil and the fruits therefrom, had been snatched away by a few nation-wreckers.

<span lang="EN-GB" style="font-size:12.0pt;line-height:150%;font-family: "Book Antiqua",serif;mso-bidi-font-family:"Times New Roman"">

<span lang="EN-GB" style="font-size:12.0pt;line-height:150%;font-family:"Book Antiqua",serif; mso-fareast-font-family:"Book Antiqua";mso-bidi-font-family:"Book Antiqua"">3.<span style="font-variant-numeric: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-stretch: normal; font-size: 7pt; line-height: normal; font-family: "Times New Roman";"> <span lang="EN-GB" style="font-size:12.0pt; line-height:150%;font-family:"Book Antiqua",serif;mso-bidi-font-family:"Times New Roman"">Jabez Foli did what the average citizen would do in the circumstances. He lodged a report with the police. He provided the police with a very vital clue. He told the police he identified one of the criminals. It was alleged that Emmanuel Amekudzi who was part of the original plan to commit the crime balked at the ninth minute. After the crime was committed however, he was alleged to have resurfaced in the form of a “crime con
