Sometime in 2017, defendant invited him to a meeting he had convened with staff of Bank of Ghana who intended to purchase vehicles from him. Pursuant to the meeting, some staff of Bank of Ghana agreed to purchase vehicles from the defendant. <o:p></o:p></span></p><p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-left:.5in;text-align:justify;text-indent:-.5in; line-height:150%"><b><span style="font-size:12.0pt;line-height:150%;font-family:"Book Antiqua",serif; mso-bidi-font-family:"Times New Roman"">3]</span></b><span style="font-size: 12.0pt;line-height:150%;font-family:"Book Antiqua",serif;mso-bidi-font-family: "Times New Roman""> According to plaintiff, defendant sought financial assistance from him to the tune of Sixty Five Thousand Ghana cedis (GHC65,000) to enable him clear the vehicles from the port for the Bank of Ghana staff, which he gave to him. Plaintiff claims defendant has so far paid Thirty Thousand Ghana Cedis, leaving a balance of Thirty Five Thousand Ghana cedis out of that debt.<o:p></o:p></span></p><p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-left:.5in;text-align:justify;text-indent:-.5in; line-height:150%"><b><span style="font-size:12.0pt;line-height:150%;font-family:"Book Antiqua",serif; mso-bidi-font-family:"Times New Roman"">4]</span></b><span style="font-size: 12.0pt;line-height:150%;font-family:"Book Antiqua",serif;mso-bidi-font-family: "Times New Roman""> Plaintiff’s further case is that in July 2017, defendant offered to assist him to sell his Mercedez Benz C280 (2006 Model) at a price of Forty Thousand Ghana Cedis (GHC40,000). Plaintiff claims that in spite of several demands and correspondence between him and defendant, the defendant has refused to pay him the price of the car, as well as the remaining balance on the financial assistance he gave him, the total sum of which amounts to Seventy Five Thousand Ghana cedis (GHC75,000).<o:p></o:p></span></p><p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-left:.5in;text-align:justify;text-indent:-.5in; line-height:150%"><b><span style="font-size:12.0pt;line-height:150%;font-family:"Book Antiqua",serif; mso-bidi-font-family:"Times New Roman"">5]</span></b><span style="font-size: 12.0pt;line-height:150%;font-family:"Book Antiqua",serif;mso-bidi-font-family: "Times New Roman""> Plaintiff claims he caused his lawyer on 19<sup>th</sup> December 2019 to write a letter to defendant demanding payment of the outstanding sum of GHC75,000 but the defendant disregarded the letter.
